This is an interesting house/club track. I've said this before, but I'm usually not a big fan of songs that are a combination of house and hip hop, but this song isn't too bad. Here's a sick new electronic song called 'Karma.' The song has a funky, guitar synth that gives it a nice sound. It doesn't really drop hard anywhere, but has more of a Wolfgang Gartner feel and continues to steadily bounce all the way through. Check it.

I gave you all a little taste of this song the other day, and Vicetone has released the full version with a FREE DL. The song has the quality that has become standard for the duo and it will get you pumped. We have three big names here. Mat Zo & Porter Robinson released this track a little while back, but Lemaitre put a little twist on the song to give it a completely different feeling. This is a funky, chill song from Else called 'Ariane.' The song reminds me of some of Madeon's early work with the in-and-out synths and creative fills. This is a great song to just sit back and relax to even though it has a dancy feeling to it. Check it out.

This is a soft, melodic electronic song that flows so nicely. The song has a smooth, uplifting synth line that, in combination with the dubbed bass, really puts you in a good mood. I'm posting this as I procrastinate studying for finals, and this song is perfect for times like these. Check it out.

Jamie N Commons - Rumble & Sway (TORN Remix)

To follow up on what I said in the last post, this is a glitch-hop remix of Jamie N Commons' 'Rumble & Sway.' This remix features the vocals with the classic 'live' sound that gives the song a different feeling. You really feel like you're listening to a regular song until you get to the drop and then you get all of the glitchy elements that make the song bounce.

Nicky Romero - Miami 2013 Aftermovie

Nicky Romero just put up this awesome video that has behind the scenes footage from his last few shows - Ultra Music Festival and the Protocol Label Night. The video features three tracks: 'I Could Be The One (John Christian Remix),' 'Symphonica (Bare Remix),' and 'Legacy.' In this video, 'Legacy' sounds so much better than it did when I previously posted it. It might just be all of the strobe lights and babes in the video, but you definitely feel much more hyped after hearing it. Check it out.

DJ Codeman just gave me the heads up about a new track that he just released called 'Disturbing.' The drop has one of the most unique sounds I've ever heard. Tim Bryant - Melodic Dubstep Mix April 2013

So I just discovered this guy's YouTube channel, MrMoMMusic, and it's full of awesome chill dubstep/electro mixes. This is the April 2013 mix with songs chosen and mixed by Tim Bryant. The songs range from old classics to newly released tunes. The wave of pain and suffering from finals week has arrived, but this channel is going to get me through. Hopefully, some of you can enjoy this just as much!

This is an extended vocal version of MitiS's 'Born' that is an amazing chillstep song. The song has a sick echoing synth line in the back that is propelled by the rising bass. It has some incredible melodies and the vocals work really well in the song. Check it out.


 

Tracy Chapman - Give Me One Reason (The Tailors DJs Remix)

I'm not exactly sure when this song came out, but my cousin just sent me the link and it is the chillest house song (remix) that I've heard in months. The intro starts out with a funky guitar line and then The Tailors add a little bass and you have an instant classic. I am starting to truly believe that the mix between 'live' sound, country, and EDM elements is the direction that a lot of artists are going to be taking in the next few years. Be prepared for awesomeness.


 

Nicky Romero & Krewella - Legacy

So when I first saw who the song was by, I was ecstatic, expecting something amazing. The song is actually a pretty big letdown in my opinion. Anyways, Nicky Romero teamed up with the trio, Krewella, to drop this tune called 'Legacy.' The song has good vocals, but the drop is pretty weak. I'm definitely looking forward to the official remixes and might even try to make a remix of my own because the song definitely has potential. I just don't think they put enough time into it. This is the latest FULL release from Daft Punk! They are definitely bringing funk back and I'm expecting their new album to be absolutely incredible. I believe it's titled 'Random Access Memories' and should be released May 21st according to this article: Rolling Stone - Daft Punk Album. If you've never heard of Daft Punk, you're either really young or you just suck (joking, but seriously). Be excited because this album will be amazing.

 

7MPULS3 - Electro Mix 1 HD

I made an hour long mix of some of my favorite EDM tunes for you to enjoy! This is my first mix ever, so I know the hate is going to flow, but it turns out it's a lot harder than I had expected. Granted, I only put in 45 minutes to get it done, but I definitely should've put more thought into it. The transitions are mostly horrible, except for two that I thought actually turned out not half bad. Anyways check it out and let me know what you think!

This is a beautiful, downtempo song that was released from Yinyue S awhile ago. I just heard the song today as it was rereleased on another user's YouTube channel. Yinyue S is a young artist, but he did a great job with the composition of this song. He also wanted to dedicate the song to the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings that occurred yesterday. Absolutely amazing song! This beautiful chillstep song is one of the best I've heard recently. Singularity kills it with the track. The drop is incredible - not too intense, but it packs a little punch that really brings the song to life. Not to mention, Nilu's awesome vocals that fit so well with the song. This is the first publicly released track off of Singularity's EP that should be out by the end of the month, so I'll keep you posted!

I would assume that everyone has already seen this video and heard the song since it already has 44 million+ views, but PSY definitely knows the key to success. [Repeat the exact same shit that worked last time.] I'll be honest, the video is actually pretty funny. He acts like a dick to every girl in the video and still ends up pulling at the end. The song isn't anything special though. It's just the sort of thing you can't not post.

 

Young London - Broken (Culture Code Remix)

This is an awesome dubstep remix of Young London's 'Broken' that was just released tonight. It sounds like a mix of trance and dubstep because of the synths that Culture Code uses in the song. You can pick up the song for free from Culture Code's Facebook.

 

One Republic - If I Lose Myself (PRFFTT & Svyable Remix)

This is a dubstep remix of One Republic's 'If I Lose Myself' that gives the song some real power. This remix overlays the vocals over the drop which I really like. It definitely brings the song some extra life. I'm just rambling on about the same thing now, so just give it a listen.

 

Favulous - Plastic Face

This is a pretty chill, house song from Favulous.The song doesn't really have a heavy bass line, but it has a really authentic house beat to it. It features some smooth, tight synths that give it its bounce.

 

Wolfgang Gartner Ft. Medina - Overdose

Wolfgang Gartner has released his latest 'Overdose' featuring Medina. It has a nice background melody featuring his unique synth sound. The vocals are smooth and a little distant which adds a nice effect to the composition. The song isn't too hard-hitting like some of his tracks, but it has a nice mid-range bump to it. Razihel has gone and put a heavy dubstep twist on 'Ghost,' by Benny Benassi & Pink Is Punk. Bad Boy Bill, Sephano, & Torio Ft. Na Palm - Roam the Night

Bad Boy Bill, a rising EDM artist from Chicago, is really stirring up the game. His song 'Unsaid' is being featured in a remix contest for EDC Chicago. He just released his newest track 'Looking For Something' on Avicii's label LE7ELS that is absolutely sick. This is 'Roam the Night' that he released awhile ago, but it's still a great song. It's always great to see an artist from your home area, and Bad Boy Bill is going to be huge.

This is Avicii's Promo Mix featuring some new tracks off of his upcoming album! The 23 year old from Sweden released this live mix to the world a few days ago. A lot of the songs featured in the mix, he played live at Ultra Music Festival this year. He played main stage, but received a lot of criticism for his new music. I'm not too sure what all the fuss was about because the mix is pretty solid. Anyways, look forward to his new album and expect great things from this big name artist.

DJ Awolt is a 17 year old producer from Germany that has mixed these 20+ chillstep songs into a sick hour-long mix. The mix was released on his YouTube channel back in February. I'm a huge fan of mixes and this one is fantastic. Some of the most well-known chillstep artists are featured such as Rameses B, Fracx, MitiS, Blackmill and more.
